Job Description:

Shopkeeper - Retail Sales Leader position at IKEA North Lakes, responsible for leading a team, optimizing sales and profitability, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining store operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job Responsibility:

Optimising sales and profitability by taking ownership of the range and actively promoting IKEA commercial priorities and volume commitments
Acting quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback
Keeping active eye on competition, supply and performance analysis
Ensuring shop is in excellent shape and fully stocked at all times
Creating environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback
Providing inspiring and motivating direction for co-workers
Engaging co-workers fully in IKEA objectives
Supporting manager in managing recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning and competence development
Ensuring co-workers are actively supported in their daily work
Actively developing, coaching and mentoring team through set reviews and on the job conversations

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of previous experience managing and leading a retail store or a large home furnishing business with demonstrated success in driving sales growth
Passionate about home furnishing and volume retailing
Passionate about customer service with strong desire to exceed customer expectations
Business-minded and result-driven with strong desire to exceed sales targets
Energetic leadership style
Ability to influence and communicate effectively
Ability to work fast-paced retail environment
Ability to foster strong team environment
