Job Responsibility:

  • Optimise sales and profitability by taking ownership of the product range and actively promoting the IKEA commercial priorities and volume commitments
  • act quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback, as well as keeping an active eye on competition, supply and omni-channel performance analysis
  • ensure the shop is always in excellent shape—as new—and fully and efficiently stocked in place, so that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers, enabling them to make purchasing decisions
  • ensure having the right number of competent co-workers in the right place at the right time and securing that they are fully able and available to serve customers and actively help them to buy
  • ensure the team has full knowledge of the product range, customers' life at home, and IKEA services, so they can share this with customers to enhance their overall shopping experience
  • understand the different IKEA sales and communication channels and IKEA know-how in order to make the best commercial use of this information for different customers
  • take responsibility for department goals and secure the action plan ensures the country priorities for Home Furnishing Business are implemented in the store
  • follow up financial goals, KPIs and costs, and take action on deviations
  • motivate and develop team
  • actively sales steer to department’s top-selling products, prioritized products and IKEA service products in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability
  • act quickly on commercial opportunities
  • change availability of products (overstock and out of stock) and customer feedback
  • keep active eye on competition and take appropriate action when necessary
  • secure competent and high-performing teams who inspire and empower every co-worker to recognise and understand their contribution
  • identify and develop the many talents within the department to secure succession planning
  • actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with team to understand how they can contribute to sustainability

Requirements:

  • Experience of actively selling through understanding your customers and their needs
  • good at identifying commercial priorities and re-prioritizing work to align with them
  • passion for selling, reaching goals and getting the best for IKEA customers
