Job Responsibility

  • Supporting to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market through securing high-quality carpentry and paintwork all throughout the store
  • Following work briefs to implement custom display solutions, including painting, tiling, floor laying, wall install and the building of complex furniture installations
  • Secure high quality, simple and cost-conscious results in the execution of work by using best practises and following routines
  • Assisting the Communication & Interior team with ad hoc tasks and to ensure the store is always in shape as new
  • Taking responsibility for the ordering & inventory of materials, as well as safety standards in the shared workshop

Requirements

  • Previous carpentry experience, preferably in a commercial setting
  • A deep passion for quality, craftsmanship and home furnishings
  • Comfortable with physical work, such as repetitive lifting and climbing ladders
  • A practical, hands-on mindset, where you show a strong willingness to get involved
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can meet tight deadlines while upholding quality
  • Confident and safety-conscious when performing tasks such as painting, drilling, furniture installation and heavy lifting
  • A proactive mindset and strong communication skills
