Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fabrication shop and its employees. Provides comprehensive production, practical and technical direction pertaining to contract scope of work. Oversee the scheduling, coordination, logistics, and supervision of shop fabrication crew activities. Manage and Adhere to the production or project schedule and orchestrate timely project completion within budgeted costs.

Ensure continuous improvement of employees through performance reviews and training
Supervise receiving, batching, and staging of materials
Ensure shop and yard are safe, clean and organized
Hold required safety meetings and tool box talks
Engage in productive conflict resolution
Maintain project records including daily reports, activity reports, production reports, schedules, equipment maintenance, and shop documentation
Assist with schedule preparation and short interval planning
Coordinate regular quality control inspections
Identify, document and ensure corrective measures are addressed
Understand customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction
Execute, supervise and maintain CAD, Prefabrication, Material and Installation (CPMI) processes
Provide input on productivity and efficiency improvement strategies
Create and maintain production schedules
Monitor progress, performance and quality of work for Subcontractors and vendors
Review, analyze, and update Productivity tracking reports
Provide training, mentoring, coaching and leadership for shop personnel
Ensure accurate cost coding of time entry
Requirements:
Very strong management, process, production and leadership skills
Makes decisions independently and performs daily activities with minimal supervision
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Advanced knowledge and expertise in techniques, equipment and systems relative to assigned projects
Applies diversified knowledge of applicable principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments
College/University graduate with 7 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience
