Our shops play a vital role in raising the essential funds for our Charity, we are currently looking for a Shop Manager to join our shop in March, Cambridgeshire. This is a part time role, working 22.5 hours per week. Each shop is its own little treasure trove and unique community hub, with our brilliant shop staff and volunteers keeping donations sorted, tidied and flying off the shelves. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the running of the shop, managing turnover and profitability whilst promoting and enhancing the image of our charity to all customers. The role will have responsibility for the security of the shop premises, its staff, volunteers and stock, making arrangements for opening and locking up at either end of the trading day. We are looking for a shop manager who has an interest in sustainable fashion, understands the importance of community, and loves working with and supporting people to enjoy passions through volunteering. You will bring your innovation to help manage the shop, and you won't be phased by a busy productive retail setting. You will be motivated by driving income in the shop, also motivating those around you through regular communication and engagement. To be successful in this role, you will have a good general education with excellent verbal, numerical and written skills. Previous experience of working in a similar retail environment with leadership / management experience will also be required. Due to the nature of this role there will be an element of manual handling and physical activity involved. Lone working may also be required from time to time. Candidates are required to be physically capable (with reasonable adjustments for disabled candidates) of meeting these job requirements. This role will work on a rota basis over 7 days which will include weekend working. Starting salary of £25,760, with opportunities to progress to £27,476. Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and will be pro-rata'd for part time posts.
