Job Description

Our shops play a vital role in raising the essential funds for our Charity, we are currently looking for Shop Managers (Roaming) who would be interested in ad-hoc shifts to join our bank services covering vacant shifts in our charity shops across Cambridgeshire! Each shop is its own little treasure trove and unique community hub, with our brilliant shop staff and volunteers keeping donations sorted, tidied and flying off the shelves. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the running of the shop to promote and enhance the image of our charity to all customers. The role will have responsibility for the security of the shop premises, stock management and making arrangements for opening and locking up at either end of the trading day.

Requirements

  • Good general education with excellent verbal, numerical and written skills

  • Undertake day to day running of the charity shop, including cashing up, banking, stock and donations management, restocking and pricing, maintaining a clean and tidy shop and back room
  • Support and manage an essential team of volunteers to ensure the shop operates effectively alongside providing the best possible work experience placements for the people we support
  • Proactively liaise with the Social Enterprise Manager, Head of Work programme and work team to provide excellent quality work experience placements for the people we support
  • Continue to manage, develop and grow our on-line Vinted shop
  • Provide some direct support for people on work placements at the shop, helping people to learn specific skills such as using the till
  • Represent Style Acre in a professional manner when dealing with customers and the public
  • Ensure the shop is a valuable community presence while upholding Style Acre’s key values
  • Lone work when required
  • Undertake any monthly reporting, administration or paperwork necessary
  • Manage and follow health and safety procedures, including contributing to and following risk assessments
