Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Sudbury, Ontario working out of our Lively Shop as a Shop Labourer.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform routine shop and facility cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, surface wiping, garbage removal, and common areas to meet safety and hygiene standards
  • Maintain the outside yard, including general yard clean-up, debris removal, seasonal snow shoveling/salting, and keeping walkways and work areas safe and accessible
  • Wash trucks
  • Grease trucks and equipment as part of scheduled maintenance, ensuring units remain clean, presentable, and in good working condition
  • Shipping and receiving duties and providing general shop assistance as required
  • Assist in the shop with organizing parts and inventory, and travel when required to complete part pick-ups/drop-offs from vendors
  • Assist Mechanical Staff as needed
  • Assist with drop-off/pick-up of vehicles and equipment
  • Operate equipment within the yard
  • Tire repair/replacement on light-duty vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Class G Ontario license
  • Great cleaning skills
  • Ability and willingness to work independently or as a part of a team
  • willing to travel
  • Helpful, friendly and courteous with the public, regulatory agencies and peers
  • Punctual, willing to work shift work which includes weekend work and be willing to work during all seasons/weather
