Job Description:

The Shop Hand is responsible for performing daily duties related to the general upkeep and maintenance of the shop and facilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others
  • Performs various shop duties including maintaining a clean work environment inside and outside the shop
  • Completes preventative maintenance, make ready, and wash procedures
  • Cleans, paints, and loads equipment and tools
  • Repairs trailers including bearings, wheels, tires, brakes, and lighting under Mechanic supervision
  • Uses all electrical tools, safety devices, and equipment according to Company policies and safety procedures
  • Operates skid steer and forklift according to Company polices and safety standards
  • Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings
  • Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds required
  • Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to the extent they understand verbal and written instructions in English
