Job Description

We are recruiting a high-level Generator Technician in Nashville, TN for a well-established power generation company in the entertainment industry. This is a predominantly shop-based role focusing on mobile generators. The job duties include electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, automatic transfer switches, paralleling and switchgear. Job Responsibility

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, electronic, and digital control system issues on a wide variety of mobile generator units
  • Remove, repair, and replace major components, including starters, alternators, digital controllers, and fuel system elements
  • Set up, configure, and test generator paralleling systems to ensure seamless multi-unit synchronization and load sharing
  • Troubleshoot, program, and repair automatic transfer switches (ATS) and integrated mobile switchgear configurations
  • Perform comprehensive load-bank testing and rigorous quality checks on all mobile assets before deployment back into the field
  • Accurately document all diagnostic findings, parts used, and repair actions within the shop’s maintenance tracking system

Requirements

  • 5+ years of generator experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to travel overnight ~once/quarter
  • Ability to be on call required
