The Shop Foreman provides high quality technical work while assists in scheduling and directing the workload for maximum efficiency and productivity. This role adjusts work sequences to meet schedule using knowledge of capacities of equipment and employees within the shop
Job Responsibility:
Assist in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the branch or shop
Provides direction to shop team on duties, schedule, and priorities
Communicates with the branch or shop manager to change job completion dates and updates work orders if dates are not going to be met or will be completed early
Reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness
Responsible for Quality of Work including test reporting, task completion, and paperwork flow
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes
Works in cooperation with other areas to provide quality, seamless customer service
Assists the branch or shop where needed, including possible off-site field service and large job consultations
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED
Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination
Specific knowledge of the shop's industry required
Knowledge of all proper job site health and safety policies required
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and productive, driven work ethic required
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
Ability to remain calm and clear-headed in an emergency required
