To create inspiring store solutions (based on psychology of shopping) for an easy and convenient shopping experience and increasing vitality by translating deep knowledge about consumer buying behavior, store layout, range presentation and local market knowledge thereby contributing to positioning the IKEA Brand in the local market as the home furnishing specialist and the IKEA store as an up-to date and innovative destination that always offers something new.
Job Responsibility:
Daily cooperation and alignment with store partners (Communication and Interior Design, Sales, Food and Logistics, Customer relations) to plan, organize, physically implement and maintain your assigned product area in the store
Provide commercial display solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home and shopping experience
Plan and implement relevant commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles and price levels that meet many individual tastes
Secure effective use of the store layout to create strong visual impact, good product overview and a smooth buying process, in line with global and national guidelines
Utilise global tools and concepts to apply IKEA visual merchandising standards while adapting solutions to local and national priorities
Respect routines and responsibilities, and work together with all departments, especially Sales and Logistics to act quickly, exploiting commercial opportunities and understand the impact of those actions
Secure high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness in planning and implementing all solutions
Requirements:
Education and/or professional background in visual merchandising/shop design, art, architecture, industrial/interior/fashion design or landscape architecture
Deep passion, curiosity and understanding of home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home
Basic knowledge of space planning or any drafting software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD or SketchUp)
Desire to spend most of your working day diving into physical tasks including operating power tools, climbing ladders, painting furniture and implementing solution(s)
Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and deadlines/work in a fast retail environment
Ability to generate and communicate new ideas and concepts while working both as an individual and part of a team
Proficiency in Croatian and good knowledge of English language
Driver’s license (B category)
