Job Description:

We are looking for a Shomer to join the Kosher London Beth Din (KLBD) Shomer Team. This person will generally work in kitchen environments checking vegetables, herbs and would also be responsible for the verification of ingredients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Verifying materials: Checking materials in the KLBD IsItKosher App
  • Consulting with colleagues and clarifying discrepancies
  • Providing emailed reports as necessary
  • Data input

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Kashrut and related Jewish customs and practices
  • Demonstrable precision and attention to detail
  • Kitchen experience
  • Work in a professional manner and develop effective working relationships with colleagues & kitchen staff
  • Able to work as an effective and pro-active member of the KLBD team
  • Able to work unsupervised and manage your own workload, as well as deliver results under pressure and to tight deadlines and objectives
