The Shipping Supervisor oversees all shipping, plating, and warehousing activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant operations. This role manages order releases, coordinates with planners and vendors, maintains safety stock levels, and ensures efficient shipment of finished goods. The supervisor monitors plating schedules and inventory, resolves shipping issues, and addresses discrepancies in reports. Additionally, they lead and develop team members by monitoring performance, providing training, conducting evaluations, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibility:

Ensures parts are pulled from staging for shipment
Corrects errors identified in reports
Manages plating operations by assigning orders to material handlers, coordinating with plating vendors, and updating the plating board and register
Reviews inventory to recommend actions for excess or obsolete stock.
Requirements:
3 years progressive experience in shipping, assembly, and forklift in a warehouse / shipping environment
Proven experience in a leadership position within a manufacturing and warehouse environment, demonstrating strong planning, follow-up, and project execution skills
In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations, with a record of accomplishment of promoting and maintaining a safety-first culture
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and hands-on experience in implementing Kaizen methodologies, 5S, and other continuous improvement techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 to analyze and leverage data for process optimization
Problem Identification and Solving – tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
