Job Description:

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Shipping, Receiving & Warehouse Associate to join our team in Albany, New York. This contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate will excel in logistics coordination, inventory management, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately pick and package parts for outgoing shipments while ensuring proper labeling and routing
  • Manage shipping logistics using freight software to book pickups, generate labels, and process shipments
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and maintain up-to-date inventory records
  • Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and promptly process returns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse space while supporting general operations
  • Measure and input shipment details into carrier platforms for efficient handling
  • Separate and organize shipments to ensure timely delivery and correct routing
  • Track and coordinate simple shipments while providing updates as necessary
  • Work with urgency to meet tight shipping deadlines and ensure daily output targets are achieved
  • Identify and differentiate between similar parts to prevent errors in processing

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
  • Proficiency in using freight portals and inventory management systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when handling small parts
  • Comfortable in fast-paced settings with high-volume workloads

Nice to have:

  • Prior experience in parts-based or distribution environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and return processing is an advantage
  • Knowledge of freight software and logistics workflows is beneficial
