Our client is a well-established Trading firm. They're currently seeking a Shipping Operations Manager as part of their expansion plan.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all daily shipping operations from the point a vessel is nominated (on-subs) until the completion of the shipment, providing prompt operational support and continuous monitoring of chartered vessels
  • Maintain accurate shipment status updates and process freight payments and e-filing for all spot charter shipments
  • Manage the operational requirements of the time charter fleet, including arranging bunker supply
  • Ensure strict compliance with Charter Party (CP) terms and all company policies and compliance rules
  • Promptly respond to and resolve all queries, issues, or disputes arising during the voyage, coordinating with all necessary internal and external parties
  • Review and settle port disbursements and manage various operational cost calculations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or supply chain discipline (e.g., Maritime, Engineering, Logistics)
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing complex shipping operations
  • Direct experience managing the chartering of petroleum products
