As a Shipping manager, you have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team in Hamilton, while earning a competitive annual salary between $90,000 and $100,000. This full-time leadership position involves managing material flow, carrier relationships, and inventory accuracy. Job Responsibility:

  • As the Shipping Manager, you will mentor and guide a diverse group of employees across receiving, yard, and specialized production departments
  • Maintain a high-standard safety environment by proactively identifying hazards and ensuring the Shipping and Logistics Supervisor oversees strict adherence to workplace protocols
  • Direct the daily flow of all incoming and outgoing freight, ensuring the Shipping and Logistics Supervisor manages all export and import documentation accurately
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders in sales and production to align shipping schedules with customer delivery dates
  • Utilize D365 to monitor warehouse workflows, manage inventory staging, and provide clear operational visibility to the management team

Requirements:

  • You possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing or heavy steel environment
  • You bring at least 3 to 5 years of expertise in global logistics, specifically managing international shipping and carrier compliance
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field is preferred for this Shipping and Logistics Supervisor role
  • You are highly proficient in navigating ERP systems, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with D365
  • You must have the flexibility to travel internationally and be willing to undergo a standard background check as part of the hiring process
  • The Shipping and Logistics Supervisor must demonstrate a solid understanding of 5S methodologies and continuous improvement strategies
