Job Description:

The Shipping Lead is responsible for real time analysis, coordination and balance of Shipping Operations including allocation of picking/loading tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Recording and reporting of outbound deliveries
  • Provides support in reporting, researching and resolving issues that occur in the interface between host system and WMS in a timely manner
  • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Provides administrative support for the Shipping Managers
  • Develops and maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all needed systems
  • Support Picking and Loading operation as needed
  • Under direct supervision of the DC Shipping Managers
  • Work is performed within standard policies and procedures with opportunity for unreviewed decision-making
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience including leadership experience in a warehouse environment
  • Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Red Prairie
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly recognize and diagnose trend and patterns in productivity data
  • Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position
