Job Description

The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for order picking, accounting for all materials and supplies, and operating a forklift & pallet jack. The individual will also be responsible for processing, packaging, shipping, and/or storing supplies and materials.

Job Responsibility

  • Order picking - handling the receipt, movement, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures
  • Processing, packaging, shipping and/or storing supplies, materials
  • Accounting for all materials and supplies by auditing goods received into warehouse
  • Operating a forklift and pallet jack, as needed
  • Following the required operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of the facility and equipment
  • Bringing high energy and attention to detail to maintain quality, productivity and accuracy
  • Always following safety policies and protocols

Requirements

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds of weight using proper lifting or team-lift techniques
  • Experience using a forklift and/or pallet jack preferred
  • ability to pass forklift training required
  • Computer inventory experience preferred
  • Cycle count experience preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred
  • Good communication skills to interact with multiple levels and titles, and internal and external contacts
  • Exceptional teamwork skills
  • A solid work ethic including reliability
  • 3-5 years of Warehouse Experience
  • Lead experience a plus
  • Self motivated and has the ability to get things done by motivating others
  • Ability to improve KU processes and inventory accuracy
  • Attention to detail and can work independently to research issues
  • Proven Safety and Attendance Record
  • Experienced in SAP with proven accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experienced with Materials Handling
  • Works well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver on time under pressure
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience including most or all of the following: Shipping and receiving
  • Picking and packing (order picking)
  • Loading and unloading
