The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the proper receiving, labeling, and tagging of inbound materials. Also responsible for verifying and scanning out all outbound finished goods and raw materials, maintaining proper documentation and ensuring that all documentation is scanned to the online database and filled daily.
Job Responsibility:
Inspect inbound shipments for damage and correct quantities
Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
Record receiving data in company databases
Ensures all pallets are tagged with PID labels and Pallet Flags
Processes shipments in shipping software
Ensure product is accurately pulled and labeled for shipment
Responsible for scanning and filling of Shipping and Receiving paperwork
Meet or exceed productivity standards in all functions performed during assigned shift
Check-in/out delivery drivers and liaise with office staff for paperwork
Requirements:
Basic math and organization skills
Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more
Detail-oriented mindset
Forklift certification
Ability to work on feet for long hours
Excellent communication skills
Understanding of safety protocols and requirements
Strict adherence to all safety measures
Excellent work ethic and a Lean mindset
Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record
Fluency in English (Written and Verbal)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
