Job Responsibility:
Coordinate all daily outbound shipments for the steel manufacturing facility to ensure on-time delivery
Operate a counterbalance forklift safely to load and unload flatbeds, containers, and trailers
Prepare and verify accurate Bill of Lading (BOL) documents for every outgoing load as a Shipper
Complete comprehensive customs paperwork and international shipping documents for cross-border freight
Maintain organized records of all shipments within the manufacturing & logistics tracking system
Inspect outgoing steel products for quality and ensure they are secured properly for transit
Collaborate with the production team to prioritize shipments based on customer deadlines
Adhere to all health and safety protocols specific to a steel manufacturing environment
Communicate effectively with freight carriers and drivers to coordinate pickup schedules
Perform inventory cycle counts and reconcile shipping discrepancies as required for the Shipper role
Requirements:
Advanced proficiency in operating a counterbalance forklift in a fast-paced industrial setting
Deep understanding of international shipping regulations and customs documentation processes
Strong attention to detail to ensure 100% accuracy in BOL and manifest preparation
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a manufacturing & logistics hub
Physical stamina to work in a steel manufacturing plant environment and handle manual tasks
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipping deadlines simultaneously
Professional communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external logistics partners
Problem-solving mindset to resolve shipping delays or documentation errors quickly
What we offer:
