The shipper/warehouse position is responsible for sending and receiving all materials necessary within our warehouse system. This includes, but it is not limited to, finished product, various production components, and raw materials. The bulk of the position is 90% outdoor shipping, receiving and material handling, however, during quiet shipping periods, assisting with Warehouse and Secondary operations is required.
Job Responsibility
Competent operation and awareness to ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading
Inspect incoming trailers/vans/vehicles to ensure safe loading/unloading operations
Communicate with Plant admin, CSRs for daily logistics planning
Communicate with drivers to ensure safe loading and unloading of products
Forklift operation: handling pallets, molds, product, raw materials, scrap, etc.
Maintain an organized yard by ensuring materials are stored, labelled, and organized correctly
Work in the warehouse and/or Secondary as needed to maintain proper production levels
Responsible for accurate completion of cycle counts
Responsible for documentation of items received through completion of necessary paperwork
Acknowledge and comply with all safety program and policies
Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
Experience operating forklifts, specifically, large yard trucks (8000lb capacity)
Extensive experience handling large loads of materials safely and efficiently
Can do pre-shift equipment inspections, and identify and report any concerns that may affect safe operation of the forklift
Can work effectively alone or as a team member
Like to work with your hands and don't mind dirty jobs or heavy lifting
Not afraid of working in the elements outside (hot, cold, etc.)
Very organized, energetic, and can take ownership of the shipping yard
