Job Description:

Are you a logistics professional looking for a challenging, permanent position in the manufacturing sector? Randstad is proud to partner with a world-renowned company in the design and production of forklift attachments, to recruit a dedicated Shipping Clerk for their Dollard-des-Ormeaux site. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a small, dynamic team where your expertise in supply chain and operations management will be essential in ensuring the smooth running of the entire shipping process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Order Preparation and Packaging: Accurately execute the picking of forklift attachments and parts, then ensure safe and compliant packaging for shipment
  • Shipping Documentation: Prepare all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping slips/notes, and customs forms, ensuring the accuracy of the information
  • Coordination and Planning: Organize pickups with carriers, determine optimal shipping methods, and coordinate the logistics of outgoing shipments
  • Verification and Quality Control: Verify the contents of orders against purchase orders to ensure there are no errors, damages, or discrepancies before final shipment
  • Inventory and Materials Management: Maintain an inventory of packaging and shipping supplies
  • Material Handling: Operate a manual pallet jack or other equipment

Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in shipping, receiving, or a similar role in industrial management
  • Solid experience in order preparation and packaging with a high attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Critical thinking skills to quickly identify and rectify shipping or inventory issues
