Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Shipper/ Receiver to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 7/7 rotation.
Job Responsibility
Manage the shipping and receiving of materials and supplies to and from site in accordance with project schedules and company policies
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and initiate restocking orders as needed to prevent shortages and overages
Ensure that received materials meet quality standards and that outgoing shipments are properly packaged and documented to prevent damage during transportation
Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, in compliance with relevant regulations
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to schedule deliveries and pickups
Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all shipping and receiving activities, including the handling of hazardous materials, if applicable
Safely operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
Perform routine checks on equipment used for shipping and receiving, report any malfunctions, and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary
Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to address any shipment delays, discrepancies, or issues promptly
Identify and resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner to minimize disruptions to project timelines
Continuously seek opportunities to reduce shipping and logistics costs through effective negotiation with carriers and suppliers
Requirements
High school diploma
2+ years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in mining or construction
Valid forklift license
Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory software
Strong knowledge of logistics processes and best practices
Highly organized and detail oriented
Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Clear communicator and proactive problem solver
