Job Description

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Shipper/ Receiver to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 7/7 rotation.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the shipping and receiving of materials and supplies to and from site in accordance with project schedules and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and initiate restocking orders as needed to prevent shortages and overages
  • Ensure that received materials meet quality standards and that outgoing shipments are properly packaged and documented to prevent damage during transportation
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, in compliance with relevant regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers to schedule deliveries and pickups
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all shipping and receiving activities, including the handling of hazardous materials, if applicable
  • Safely operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
  • Perform routine checks on equipment used for shipping and receiving, report any malfunctions, and coordinate repairs or replacements as necessary
  • Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to address any shipment delays, discrepancies, or issues promptly
  • Identify and resolve logistics-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner to minimize disruptions to project timelines
  • Continuously seek opportunities to reduce shipping and logistics costs through effective negotiation with carriers and suppliers

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in mining or construction
  • Valid forklift license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory software
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes and best practices
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communicator and proactive problem solver
  • Committed to safety and adaptable to site needs
