As a Shipper/Receiver, you’ll be trusted with the accurate movement of materials in a manufacturing environment that values safety, attention to detail, and high standards. Your background in shipping, receiving, or warehouse procedures—especially in a tooling, machine shop, or manufacturing setting—will be essential to maintaining smooth and compliant warehouse operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Heavy lift or rigging experience to handle large machinery
  • Receiving and shipping of incoming and outgoing courier shipments
  • Unloading and loading of incoming and outgoing trucks once internal lift truck training has been successfully completed
  • Counts and sorts incoming packages to verify receipt against truck/courier waybills and suppliers’ packing slips, while conducting visual inspections for damage
  • Operates fork truck and other handling equipment to transport received materials to various locations in the plant
  • Packaging of outbound goods, verifying quantities and conducting visual inspection, including special packaging requirements for exports
  • Follow all internal ISO procedures
  • Perform all shipping and receiving activities related to construction of CSA B51 and CSA N285.0 pressure boundary components within the ATS Certificate of Authorization
  • Strictly follow CSA N285/NQA Quality requirements as defined within the manual and procedures
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures. Ensures that proper PPE including gloves is used during the handling, packaging and un-packaging of products inbound and out bound where the safety of the employee may be detrimental

Requirements:

  • A grade 12 diploma specializing in technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations role (preferrably in a tooling, machine shop or manufacturing environment)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklift
  • Rigging experience and/or handling of large and heavy pieces is considered a strong asset
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Good written and verbal communications skills required
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Nice to have:

Rigging experience and/or handling of large and heavy pieces is considered a strong asset
