Job Description

A leading, well-established company in the industrial food sector is currently seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Clerk to take charge of its warehouse logistics in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. If you are a rigorous, organized professional who thrives in an independent work environment, this is the perfect long-term opportunity for you! Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Between $24.00 and $28.00 / hour + an annual 4% bonus based on company performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage daily incoming and outgoing shipments in close collaboration with carriers
  • Compare, verify, and validate the accuracy of received goods against invoices, purchase orders, or bills of lading
  • Meticulously verify shipment weights
  • Maintain rigorous shipping and receiving records, log missing items, and properly document/dispose of damaged goods
  • Ensure internal distribution of incoming packages and envelopes to the appropriate departments
  • Safely stage, stack, and secure goods on pallets for shipment and storage
  • Affix proper identification tags and delivery instructions
  • Accurately complete the digital and physical logs for all shipped merchandise

Requirements

  • 5 to 6 years of solid experience in shipping/receiving
  • Proficiency with business software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Mandatory knowledge of an ERP system
  • Valid forklift certification
  • Proven hands-on operational experience on the floor
  • Must pass a criminal background check and reference checks

Nice to have

  • Experience with FSSC22000, GMP, AIB, EcoCert, or Kosher/MK
  • WHMIS (SIMDUT) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG/TMD) certifications
