As a Shipper/Receiver, you’ll be trusted with the accurate movement of materials in a manufacturing environment that values safety, attention to detail, and high standards. Your background in shipping, receiving, or warehouse procedures—especially in a tooling, machine shop, or manufacturing setting—will be essential to maintaining smooth and compliant warehouse operations.
Job Responsibility:
Heavy lift or rigging experience to handle large machinery
Receiving and shipping of incoming and outgoing courier shipments
Unloading and loading of incoming and outgoing trucks once internal lift truck training has been successfully completed
Counts and sorts incoming packages to verify receipt against truck/courier waybills and suppliers’ packing slips, while conducting visual inspections for damage
Operates fork truck and other handling equipment to transport received materials to various locations in the plant
Packaging of outbound goods, verifying quantities and conducting visual inspection, including special packaging requirements for exports
Follow all internal ISO procedures
Perform all shipping and receiving activities related to construction of CSA B51 and CSA N285.0 pressure boundary components within the ATS Certificate of Authorization
Strictly follow CSA N285/NQA Quality requirements as defined within the manual and procedures
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct
Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures. Ensures that proper PPE including gloves is used during the handling, packaging and un-packaging of products inbound and out bound where the safety of the employee may be detrimental
Requirements:
A grade 12 diploma specializing in technology or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations role (preferrably in a tooling, machine shop or manufacturing environment)
Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklift
Rigging experience and/or handling of large and heavy pieces is considered a strong asset
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
Strong organizational and communication skills
Good written and verbal communications skills required
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Nice to have:

Experience in a tooling, machine shop or manufacturing environment
