Job Description:

Randstad is urgently hiring an experienced and dedicated Shipper Receiver for a permanent, full-time position in the manufacturing sector in East Mississauga, Ontario. This is a long-term opportunity to join a growing company where you can make an immediate impact.

Job Responsibility:

Overseeing daily receiving, including loading and unloading materials from trucks
Verifying incoming shipments against the purchase order and packing slip, and confirming the condition of all goods
Accurately packaging, labeling, and weighing items for shipment
Determining the correct shipping method and applicable charges
Accepting deliveries and storing them correctly within the warehouse
Performing secondary duties such as assembly, picking/packing orders, and using scales
Maintaining a daily log of all tasks performed
Keeping the shipping work area clean and organized
Assisting in the training of new employees

Requirements:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a fast-paced shipping and manufacturing environment
Proven background in manufacturing shipping operations
Ability to sustain a high level of physical activity for extended periods
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
Safety boots are required
Strong interpersonal skills

Organization
Ability to follow instructions
Proven record of punctuality and excellent attendance
Strong knowledge of shipping functions, needs, and the ability to quickly problem-solve and prioritize daily tasks

Nice to have:

Experience operating a counterbalance forklift
A GED or equivalent training/experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge and experience related to inventory within a manufacturing setting
The willingness to perform other assigned duties and be proactive
