Chesterton is a leading international manufacturer of industrial fluid sealing systems, high performance protective coatings and specialized industrial maintenance products is seeking a new Shipper/Receiver/Repair Centre Technician for its Montreal center.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform diverse shipping / receiving activities and maintain the inventory count utilizing D365
  • Set up and operate simple machines, i.e. sandblasters and polishing tools
  • Use various hand and power tools, i.e. drill press
  • Perform simple in-process quality control functions based on established engineering standards
  • Operate a CNC for cutting gaskets. (Training provided)
  • Perform simple production tasks, cut packing braids and assemble kits
  • May carry out work tasks with instructions, if necessary
  • Perform other manufacturing floor functions, i.e. Assemble skids and wooden crates
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in a Warehouse or Shipping/Receiving environment preferred
  • Ability to work under general supervision with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to follow detailed written and/or verbal instructions/procedures
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. as needed for the role
  • Ability to operate and maintain a fork truck as needed
  • Bilingual: Ability to speak, read, and write in French and English
