In this vital role, you will be responsible for the seamless movement of technical aircraft parts, ranging from wheels and brakes to large engines and corporate materials. Working within a professional warehouse environment, the Shipper ensures that every component is handled with precision and that all shipping documentation meets the rigorous standards of the aviation industry. As a Shipper in the manufacturing & logistics field, you will work within a close-knit team of four, contributing to an environment that values safety, efficiency, and technical expertise. This position requires a candidate who is comfortable handling heavy components and navigating the complexities of dangerous goods (DG) shipments. While you will primarily work in a climate-controlled warehouse, the role involves active dock work and the coordination of high-priority shipments. Job Responsibility:
Prepare and ship technical aircraft parts, including wheels, brakes, and large engines, ensuring all items are securely packed for transport
Generate and verify accurate shipping documents and manifests required for domestic and international transit
Utilize specialized equipment to move and position heavy aircraft components safely within the warehouse and on the loading dock
Manage dangerous goods (DG) shipments in strict accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
Coordinate with carriers, specifically utilizing FedEx systems and Ship Manager to schedule pickups and track deliveries
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to optimize workflow in the manufacturing & logistics department
Perform physical inventory counts and report any discrepancies in the technical parts inventory
Collaborate closely with a small team to meet daily shipping deadlines and operational goals
Requirements:
Previous experience in a shipping role is mandatory
Valid Dangerous Goods (DG) training or a strong willingness to undergo certification
Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical labor consistently throughout the shift
Experience in the aerial/aviation industry is considered a significant asset
Familiarity with FedEx shipping systems is highly preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation to the Calgary airport area
Commitment to safety protocols inherent in manufacturing & logistics operation
What we offer:
Competitive pay rate of $32/hour
Stable Monday to Friday schedule with 2 shifts available from 8 am - 4 pm or 9 am - 5 pm
