High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Four (4) or more years Experience in refinery, petrochemical or chemical role (Required)
Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including climbing of stairs, ladders and in confined spaces
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, hearing protection, respirator)
Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, holidays and overtime as required

Job Responsibility

Manages the day-to-day operation and is accountable for ensuring reliable and cost-effective operation of assigned processing area(s), logistics and utilities, to optimize and achieve production goals of the refinery
Establishes and promotes a culture focused on safe, environmentally compliant, and reliable operations with the assigned area(s)
Provides leadership, motivation, training, and development of workforce
Participates in continuous improvement activities as part of the site management team
Ensures Company policies are followed in order to maintain a positive work culture
Responsible for direct reports to ensure compliance in process safety, safety, environmental, reliability, and cost goals of the refinery are achieved
Ensuring consistent application of operation excellence processes (i.e., work permits, routine rounds)
Develops team's capability to operate independently, with the ability to handle routine operational issues
Champions initiatives, projects, and programs that support refinery vision
Responsible for the development of direct reports

Requirements

Degree in a related field (24 credits in Chemistry is a plus) or equivalent experience
Five to seven years in various positions within a water / wastewater treatment or chemical processing environment with knowledge of methods, principles and practices of operating, maintaining and repairing plant equipment, instrumentation and associated systems
Lead experience or supervisory training required with understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation and health and safety
