Job Description:

As a Shift Mechanical Fitter at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you'll engage in hands-on maintenance and repairs within our mill’s crushing stations, focusing on essential components such as hydraulics, gearboxes, and pumps. In this role, you will work to improve equipment reliability by undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance, and by responding safely and promptly to unplanned stoppages to return machinery to a fully operational state. By collaborating with various departments, you'll help keep production flowing smoothly while upholding our strong commitment to safety and reliability. Job Responsibility:

  • Participate in preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment breakdowns, and assisting with fault reporting and repairs
  • Collaborate with Operators to maintain safe and efficient operation of the factory
  • Liaise with Operations Coordinator and Work Coordinator on costs, scheduling expenditures, and assisting in assessing economic life and performance of assets
  • Ensure all work orders and permits are accurately completed while maintaining timesheets and standard reports
  • Conduct inspections, identify problems, and implement improvements to ensure highest quality standards

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - (Mechanical Fitting)
  • current Confined Space certificate
  • valid Safe Working at Heights certificate
  • manual driver's license
