Job Responsibility:
Safe movement of rolling stock
ensuring fleet meets contractual availability
overseeing daily communication meetings
managing the SAP Maintenance Management System (MMS)
recruit, mentor, and assess a large technical team
point of contact for behavioural standards, staff appraisals, and professional development
fostering a one-team culture
write operational procedures
manage COSHH and manual handling protocols
work closely with QHSE engineers to mitigate risks in a high-pressure environment
Requirements:
HNC electrical engineering
HNC mechanical engineering
HND
Mechanical & Electrical Engineering HNC or a served engineering apprenticeship
proven experience in a modern rolling stock maintenance depot including preventative/corrective maintenance and remote diagnostics
qualified assessor with experience managing large diverse technical teams
strong handle on IOSH or NEBOSH safety standards
comfortable using PC-based fault-finding tools and navigating complex Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
loyal, determined, professional, capable of representing the brand
