Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, big personality and energetic Shift Manager to help lead from the front and create exceptional dining experiences at our new New Oxford Street fresh pasta restaurant. You'll lead by example, overseeing operations during your shift and fostering a positive environment where our passion for authentic Italian cuisine shines through.

Job Responsibility

  • Be in charge of the restaurant floor and kitchen
  • Uphold cleanliness, food safety, and operational procedures
  • Oversee the kitchen and dining area
  • Be the go-to person for front and back of house staff
  • Proactively address challenges and make quick, effective decisions
  • Engage warmly with guests
  • Be part of the magic in the kitchen, preparing pasta dishes
  • Train new team members
  • Manage the shifts and time-off requests
  • Handle cash and reconcile transactions
  • Help with budget planning and cost control
  • Conduct regular Food and Health & Safety checks
  • Keep the vibe positive

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Shift Manager or in a similar role in hospitality
  • Natural leader who loves motivating and guiding a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Genuine passion for great food and hospitality
  • Attention to detail
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment

  • Manage resources to optimise utilisation and achieve operational targets
  • Maintain control and ensure effectiveness in EHS, cGMP, and company policies and procedures, Plant and process performance, Site security, Training and development, Resource availability (annual leave, absence, overtime)
  • Act as the incident officer or main control in the event of an incident
  • Maintain effective control of product mix, including raw materials, intermediate stocks, and product recovery streams
