The Shift Manager coordinates the Safety and Quality activities and oversees production of a production line in accordance with safety, material quality and production standards.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise approximately fifteen (15) hourly bargaining unit personnel per turn and instruct these personnel in job requirements and enforces conformance with both company and department policies
Lead daily and monthly safety briefings with hourly employees
Resolve problems created by breakdowns, scheduled changes, metallurgical procedure changes, etc.
Collaborate with other departments and personnel to assure the efficient operations
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
3 years supervisory experience
Strong leadership and effective management skills
Ability to evaluate problems and resolve efficiently
Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 facility
