Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will be water and heat. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitized, and sustainable plant in Boden, Northern Sweden - currently under construction. But this is just the beginning. Our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize industries beyond steel, paving the way for a cleaner future.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage Cold Mill operations during your shift, including commissioning and start-up phases
  • Ensure a strong safety culture, promoting safe behaviors and compliance with all standards
  • Drive operational performance, ensuring production targets, quality, and efficiency
  • Coordinate and support team members to ensure smooth and continuous operations
  • Act as a role model in safety and operational excellence
  • Support problem-solving and decision-making in real-time operational situations
  • Contribute to building structured ways of working during ramp-up

Requirements:

  • Experience from heavy industry operations, with strong hands-on knowledge
  • Good understanding of processes and technical equipment within a Cold Mill environment
  • Experience in leading teams in an operational setting
  • Ability to promote and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Experience working with systems such as maintenance, reporting, and production systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good English skills (written and spoken)
  • Swedish is a plus
  • Relevant education (technical high school or higher
  • degree in Metallurgy, Process Engineering, or similar is beneficial)
