Job Description:

An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our Bootle garage as a Shift Fitter reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles.

Job Responsibility:

  • Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards
  • Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
  • MOT preparation
  • Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
  • Shift Work

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
  • Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines

Nice to have:

  • Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
  • A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
  • Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
