Pier One Sydney Harbour is looking for a Shift Engineer to join our team. Job Responsibility:
Perform various maintenance services and repairs across the property
Assist in maintaining the buildings' plant equipment including chiller, boilers, ventilation systems, pumps, water and sewage services
Basic plumbing, carpentry, painting and low voltage electrical tasks (trade experience required)
Perform Preventative maintenance tasks in our hotel rooms using Transcendent App
Daily reporting of all energy, water and gas meters around the property
Adhere to sound maintenance practices, building codes and following safety precautions
Small scale installation and construction works
Operating the EMS Fire System for isolate/de-isolate requests
Operate and monitor the Building Management System (BMS) to respond to requests and adjust HVAC operations, ensuring optimal comfort, efficiency, and system performance across the property
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
and complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets
Reach overhead and below the knees. Move in confined or elevated spaces
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Move up and down stairs, service ramps and/or a ladder. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
Requirements:
Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
At least 3 years of related work experience, hotel experience valued
Ability to work with little supervision and to tight deadlines
Availability: Shifts rotate between morning, afternoon and some weekends
