Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our famous Marmite site which is now also home of iconic brands, such as Hellmann’s and Colman’s and become part of an enthusiastic and brand-driven team in the Burton-on-Trent Unilever factory. Unilever is world renowned for its brands from Persil, Comfort, Dove, Knorr, Hellmann’s and Pot Noodle all manufactured at our sites.

Job Responsibility:

  • Specialist on Corrective and Preventative Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot to fix and improve machine performance
  • After breakdown, lead root cause analysis to eliminate fault by preventive maintenance
  • Recommend design improvements

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ level 3 in Engineering and Post Apprenticeship Skill level
  • Electrical and Mechanical fault finding and rectification
  • Completion of Preventative and Corrective maintenance tasks
  • Automation background (Siemens S5/Siemens S7/Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley)
  • Basic knowledge on automation and controls to support troubleshooting
  • Previous experience writing reports
  • Data analysis and office-based skills
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Decision making - Makes and implements technical decisions which can impact production
  • Focussed Improvement - Ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement

Nice to have:

  • Experience working within a food manufacturing/FMCG factory
  • Knowledge & experience of SIMATIC PCS 7
  • Knowledge & experience of World Class Manufacturing
  • Experience as a team member within a Project Management team, with an awareness of project management tools and techniques
  • Programme Logic Control qualifications (Siemens S5/Siemens S7/Mitsubishi or Allen Bradley)
  • Knowledge & experience working with utilities / services (including Steam, CIP, Waste-water treatment)
  • Knowledge & experience of separation / filtration / evaporation equipment
