Job Description

Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is currently looking for an experienced Shift Engineer to join the Team. The Shift Engineer diagnoses and provides service and repairs to hotel equipment and responds to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

Job Responsibility

  • Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs
  • Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment
  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in a timely manner
  • Be familiar with all emergencies procedures and respond to emergency conditions
  • Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department
  • Install or relocate additional or existing equipment when necessary
  • Assist with energy conservation programs
  • Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations and outlet additions
  • Assist with training to department staff

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in a similar position
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Working technical knowledge of general building maintenance and basic ability to operate computer equipment
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language
  • Proficiency in English is a plus
  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Italy

  • To interact with onsite Engineering stores personnel, to include but not be restricted to, booking parts out of stores, assisting in sourcing alternative parts where the original is not available, returning unused parts to stores

  • To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post
