Job Description:

The Shift Engineer is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of all resort facilities, guest rooms, and systems. The position requires a multi-skilled, hands-on technician who can handle electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks with precision and attention to detail. The role supports the resort’s commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through a flawless and safe physical environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of all resort facilities, guest rooms, and systems
  • Handling electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks with precision and attention to detail
  • Supporting the resort’s commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through a flawless and safe physical environment

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or trade certification in one or more maintenance fields
  • 2–5 years of experience in general maintenance or engineering
  • Experience in the Luxury hospitality industry will be an asset
  • Strong practical skills across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Ability to read basic technical drawings and equipment manuals
  • Basic computer literacy for CMMS input
  • Fluent in English
  • knowledge of Greek preferred
  • Positive attitude, professional appearance, and commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • All Applicants must possess the legal right to work in Greece

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the Luxury hospitality industry will be an asset
  • knowledge of Greek preferred

  • To complete breakdown and maintenance records for all work undertaken on site
  • To interact with onsite Engineering stores personnel, to include but not be restricted to, booking parts out of stores, assisting in sourcing alternative parts where the original is not available, returning unused parts to stores
  • To take part in meetings, supervision, training as requested
  • To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post
