Job Description:

Do you have a time served apprenticeship? Are you happy to work shifts - days, nights and weekends? The please apply. I am on the search for Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from an FMCG background to join a well established and growing company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • Responding to breakdowns quickly and efficiently
  • Diagnosing faults and repair equipment
  • Upkeeping reports and records
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

Requirements:

  • Time served electrical apprenticeship (essential)
  • PLC experience (Siemens preferable)
  • Previous experience reacting to electrical breakdowns
  • Time served mechanical apprenticeship (essential)
  • Machining and Welding (desirable)
  • Previous experience reacting to mechanical breakdowns
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Nice to have:

  • HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
  • HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable)
  • Machining and Welding (desirable)

  • To complete breakdown and maintenance records for all work undertaken on site
  • To interact with onsite Engineering stores personnel, to include but not be restricted to, booking parts out of stores, assisting in sourcing alternative parts where the original is not available, returning unused parts to stores
  • To take part in meetings, supervision, training as requested
  • To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post
