Shift Engineer - Plumber

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the hydraulic systems within the multi-property engineering department
• Carry out ad hoc repairs and programmed preventative maintenance in relation to all aspects of the building environment, including particular attention to the upkeep of our rooms and guest requests
• Monitor and inspect the conditions of work spaces and equipment, ensuring to report on any areas where improvements are required
• Additional tasks will include preventative maintenance and operational testing
• Work in a professional and safe manner, which is in accordance with relevant hotel standards and procedures

• Established experience in similar role – hotel environment strongly preferred
• “Hands on” maintenance and repairs experience is essential
• Personable demeanor with natural ability to interact with guests
• Dedicated work ethic, with an eye for detail and accuracy
• Strong multi-modal communication skills – including verbal, reading and written
• Competency in working both collaboratively and independently
• Technically minded, with confidence working with computers and systems
• Creative and adaptive problem-solving skills and ability to manage deadlines
• Relevant qualification certificates with a minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing & Drainage (essential)
• Full working rights in Australia with availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends

Certificates in gas fitting, Backflow Prevention and Thermostatic Mixing Valves (Preferable)
