Are you an Electrical Engineer with a background in critical environments? Our client, a prominent leader in the technical facilities management sector, is seeking Shift Engineers to join a brand-new team supporting a flagship data centre account. This is an exciting "ground-floor" opportunity to join a major contract expansion. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining high-availability infrastructure where technical precision and reliability are paramount.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all PPM routines and reactive attendance for Building Services and M&E equipment
Undertaking diagnostic analysis, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems
Operating BMS and EPMS systems
Supporting HVAC, chilled water systems, and CRAC/CRAH units
Managing site records and logbooks
Assuming the role of HV Authorised Person (AP) for the site
Making recommendations to improve productivity, service quality, and resilience
Requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Engineering
18th Edition (BS 7671)
Strong competence in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems
Working knowledge of mechanical plant
Previous experience in a 24/7 shift-based, critical environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Solution-focused mindset
Ability to work effectively within a Continental shift pattern
HV AP status is highly desirable
Nice to have:
HV Authorised Person (AP) status
