Job Description

Are you an Electrical Engineer with a background in critical environments? Our client, a prominent leader in the technical facilities management sector, is seeking Shift Engineers to join a brand-new team supporting a flagship data centre account. This is an exciting "ground-floor" opportunity to join a major contract expansion. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining high-availability infrastructure where technical precision and reliability are paramount.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage all PPM routines and reactive attendance for Building Services and M&E equipment
  • Undertaking diagnostic analysis, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems
  • Operating BMS and EPMS systems
  • Supporting HVAC, chilled water systems, and CRAC/CRAH units
  • Managing site records and logbooks
  • Assuming the role of HV Authorised Person (AP) for the site
  • Making recommendations to improve productivity, service quality, and resilience

Requirements

  • Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Engineering
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671)
  • Strong competence in diagnosing and repairing complex electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of mechanical plant
  • Previous experience in a 24/7 shift-based, critical environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Solution-focused mindset
  • Ability to work effectively within a Continental shift pattern
  • HV AP status is highly desirable
