Job Responsibility

  • Operate and monitor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  • Perform daily inspections of base building systems and common areas
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules and complete corrective repairs
  • Respond to tenant requests
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and take corrective action
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and service vendors on site
  • Maintain logs, work orders
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards and building codes
  • Responding to emergency calls and participating in on-call rotations
  • Assist with minor carpentry, electrical (light bulbs/tubes), and plumbing repairs, will be required, as will snow removal/salting, painting, and power washing

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar capacity is preferred
  • Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing practices is required
  • Position is physical in nature and requires regular lifting, bending, reaching, stretching and squatting
  • Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holidays, as needed
