We are seeking a proactive and skilled Shift Electrical Engineer to join our dedicated facilities maintenance team at a key commercial site in Salisbury. In this role, you will be the go-to technical expert on shift, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical and mechanical building services. You will perform a vital function in keeping the site safe, compliant, and fully operational for its occupants. Your day-to-day work will involve a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and fast-paced reactive maintenance, requiring strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibility:
Conducting scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of building services
Providing timely and efficient reactive maintenance and fault-finding on electrical systems
Diagnosing and repairing faults on M&E plant, including HVAC systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), emergency lighting, fire alarms, and building controls
Carrying out minor electrical installations and remedial works as required
Ensuring all work is completed in line with current health and safety regulations and to a high standard
Working closely with the on-site team and specialist subcontractors to resolve complex issues
Maintaining accurate records of all completed maintenance tasks
Requirements:
A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent)
