Job Description:

Make your mark by ensuring safe, compliant and efficient offshore operations. In this role, you act as the vital link between our vessels and the office, overseeing safety and coordinating logistical activities to support uninterrupted operations. You ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and maintain vessel documentation to the highest standards. As a trusted backup officer, you are ready to support crane barges offshore when required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and maintain vessel documentation, certification, inventory, crew training matrix and safety communications for all owned and chartered vessels
  • Provide operational and safety support to vessels through regular onboard visits, assisting with maintenance routines, audits, surveys, and compliance
  • Support safe lifting operations by contributing to risk assessments (RA), JHA and procedures, and by tracking the status and certification of lifting gear
  • Coordinate vessel logistics and planning, including scheduling, job numbers, vessel movements, yard entry permit/ permit to work (PTW) and tug arrangements in liaison with relevant stakeholders
  • Support the Logistics Manager and collaborate with SHE‑Q on safety initiatives, training, vessel safety surveillance check/ periodic vessel safety inspection visits and continuous improvement in line with NINA principles
  • Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and safety management systems onboard vessels and at worksite and offshore

Requirements:

  • A diploma or certification related to Marine Studies, Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or any relevant field
  • Safety or risk‑management related training (e.g., bizSAFE, NEBOSH, ISO-related courses)
  • Experience working onboard marine vessels, crane barges, or similar environments is beneficial but not required
  • Awareness of IMO conventions (e.g., SOLAS, MLC, ISPS, MARPOL) is helpful
  • Basic understanding of Safety Management Systems
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, and proactive attitude towards safety
