Job Description:

As the SHEQ Manager, you will be responsible for driving the company’s health, safety, quality, and environmental standards across multiple locations. Working closely with senior management and on-site teams, you will ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and industry standards
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Lead and prepare for HSQE meetings, audits, and external inspections
  • Manage company certifications and regulatory compliance (ISO, Lloyds)
  • Oversee the onboarding of subcontractors and ensure compliance
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through training and engagement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a SHEQ management role within construction/utilities
  • Strong leadership & people management skills
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with ISO 9001/14001, NEBOSH, and safety qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Full UK Driving Licence (occasional travel required)
