Job Responsibility

  • Coordinate pre-employment medical surveillance, annual, and exit procedures
  • Plan and execute evacuation drills at planned intervals
  • Conduct mandatory SHEQ training for employees and contractors
  • Lead site incident investigations and chair monthly health and safety meetings
  • Conduct safety inductions for contractors, visitors, and employees
  • Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and emergency preparedness
  • Serve as management representative for ISO 14001, 9001, and 45001 (Audits & Inspections)
  • Oversee SHEQ inspections and issue permits to work
  • Conduct internal and external audits, reporting waste production and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Update and review standard operating procedures and conduct risk assessments (Reporting & Documentation)
  • Manage contractors, site security, and cleaning/hygiene departments
  • Training & Awareness
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with local and international legislation (ENHESA)

Requirements

  • A Safety Officer/Technician and SHEQ related qualification
  • The incumbent must have 5 - 10 years relevant
  • Experience in a SHEQ role
  • Experience with ISO and OHS standards
  • Experience in technical and systems auditing an advantage
