Job Description

Your primary focus will be the seamless administration of our Health & Safety Management System.

Job Responsibility

  • Maintain the H&S Management System folders and oversee Plan spreadsheets, ensuring all outstanding actions are followed up as directed by the Head of SHEQ
  • Collate H&S incidents, near misses, and trend reports to help drive safety improvements
  • Update local H&S arrangements and policies, ensuring efficient distribution throughout the facility
  • Administer H&S alerts, coordinating departmental responses and reporting back to the central team within a 7-day timeframe
  • Act as the training records administrator, assisting with course registration and issuing certificates
  • Attend and take minutes for all H&S-related meetings, including Water, Fire, Waste Management, and Safety Representative forums
  • Proactively notify the Head of SHEQ if risk assessments or actions are not being managed within the required timelines

Requirements

  • Demonstrable success in a similar role preferably within the Housing, Social Housing or a similar customer-oriented industry
  • A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and risk issues. An IOSH qualification is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite is essential for managing reports and tracking systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, paired with excellent interpersonal abilities to work effectively within a team
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing pressures and conflicting priorities effectively
