Job Description:

Randstad Victoria is now looking for sheet metal experience for a client in the North Saanich area. The is a great opportunity starting in the end of May 2025. If you have The ideal candidate will have experience in sheet metal work and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Responsibility:

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products
Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets
Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, or other forms of adhesives
Install assemblies, such as flashing, pipes, tubes, heating and air conditioning ducts, furnace casings, rain gutters, and downspouts
Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, scales, and micrometers
Repair and maintain sheet metal products

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 6 months of 2 years of experience in sheet metal work
Ability to follow instructions
Experience with hand and power tools
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication skills
